At the beginning of this year, our social feeds were filled with throwbacks to 2016 ~ and it felt beautifully kismet. That was the year Nicole Trunfio was living in Los Angeles, had just met the Spell crew, and wore our pieces everywhere. She had just welcomed her first baby, Zion, and our pieces became part of her early motherhood journey ~ offering a sense of empowerment, beauty, and a little piece of Australia while she was far from home.
Fast forward ten years, Nicole is now a mother of three, and Spell has remained woven through her story. When she founded Bumpsuit, creating comfort, beauty and ease for mothers and mothers-to-be, it felt only natural that her first-ever design collaboration would be with Spell… A heartfelt meeting of worlds: home, mother soul, and a touch of bohemian cowgirl spirit.
Introducing Bumpsuit x Spell. Mother + mama-to-be essentials of five intentional pieces designed to take you from pregnancy through motherhood ~ all exclusive to Bumpsuit and Spell. Think the signature functionality of Bumpsuit meets one of our most iconic prints {worn by Nicole herself}, a capsule created from love and friendship between two female-founded brands.
When we first started dreaming up this campaign, Nicole knew straight away that our muse had to be Bee Cooper, and in perfect timing, Bee happened to be pregnant with her second little love ~ the only hurdle, our collection samples arrived to Byron just days before her due date!
In true Bee fashion, salt-of-the-earth farm girl that she is, she naturally wandered through the fields at 39 weeks pregnant, animals in tow, alongside longtime muse of both Bumpsuit and Spell, Lisa Danielle, with little Otis snug in his Armdillo carrier, a last-minute family style shoot that became something truly special.
